== Verification of of communication ==<br />
Using a serial port terminal (example [http://www.putty.org/ putty.exe]) it is possible to verify if the controller is communicating.<br /><br />
The port connected shall be identified by the user.<br /><br />
The communication speed is set to a baud rate of 9600.<br /><br />
In the terminal windows type:<br />
* CTRL+ECB: If the controller reply "ready" the communication is set.<br />
* VERSION: the controller reply with the firmware version.<br />

Once established the communication the software can be installed.<br /><br />

== Installing the software ==<br />
The software shall be installed and registered in windows.<br /><br />
The driver is the file called <code>Leitzprotocoll.dll</code> located in the <code>..\Windows\SysWOW64</code>.<br /><br />

Steps to register:<br />
* run <code>CMD.EXE</code> from windows, be sure it is run <code>As Administrator</code><br />
* type the command: <code>c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\regasm /u c:\windows\syswow64\Leitzprotocoll.dll</code><br />
* type the command: <code>c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\regasm /codebase c:\windows\syswow64\Leitzprotocoll.dll</code><br />

After those steps the file is registered and the controller can be connected to ARCO using the configuration in the control panel.<br />
